This Memorial Day Weekend, in Marshfield, celebrate by participating in a blood drive. The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is hosting its second annual Memorial Day blood drive with the Red Cross. Last year's blood drive was extremely successful with over 30 people donating. The blood drive is part of the Democratic Town Committee GCA voter engagement program, which aims to "Do Good Often" in Marshfield.

Last year the Marshfield DTC blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross event exceeded expectations. Over 50 people participated in the drive, either by donating blood or volunteering to help run the event. Thirty donors We're able to donate at the blood drive, and the committee had a great group of volunteers greeting them as they arrived. The committee is hosting its second blood drive on May 26th at the public library.
Every two months, the committee hosts a civic engagement event like the blood drive. The civic engagement events are mini-volunteer opportunities that improve the community and create a positive buzz in Marshfield. Last winter, a food drive in February collected Collecting 1,400 pounds of food and the veterans coat drive in December, which gathered over 1,000 coats.
This Memorial Day weekend, be somebody's hero by donating blood. The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is hosting its second annual blood drive for the American Red Cross on Saturday, May 26th, at the public library. The committee has limited spaces available, so if you'd like to donate, please RSVP online. Thank you for considering giving the gift of life with your blood donation. It's relatively painless (just a quick "prick") and fast, and you'll feel great donating at a time when the Red Cross faces such a critical shortage.
The committee needs help running the blood drive on the day of the event. The volunteer opportunities include greeting donors, supporting the event, and providing visibility on the day of the event. The committee is asking volunteers to sign up for shifts on the day of the event, which will last about 1 to 2 hours. Click Here
