The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee will be hosting our caucus on April 26th from 1PM to 2PM at the Marshfield Public Library. At the caucus, Marshfield Democrats will be voting for a delegation to attend the State Convention representing the town. This year's convention is a platform convention where we discuss and vote on values and guiding principles for the future that will be the state party's platform for the next four years. If you would like to go to the convention as a delegate or take part in the selection process, please RSVP online.

Caucus

The Democratic caucus is open to everybody, but only registered Democrats can vote or run for delegate. Voters must register as Democrats by April 19th in order to be eligible. The Marshfield committee has 14 delegates and 4 alternative delegates to the 2025 convention evenly divided between women and men. The 2025 Massachusetts Democratic Party State Convention will be held on September 13th, 2025, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA.

Convention

The Massachusetts Democratic Party convenes delegates this year to adopt a new party platform. The Party Platform is the vehicle through which Democrats speak with one voice to articulate our values, beliefs, and aspirations for a stronger, more inclusive, more equitable, and more progressive future. As a delegate, you will be a part of the process and have a say in what the platform is. If you find this interesting and want to be a part of the process, please consider running.

Attendees wishing to participate must be a registered Democrat on the voter list or provide proof of Democratic Party registration by May 18th. Registration will be open at 12:30 minutes and remain open until 1:15 for all persons presenting themselves at the Caucus. The caucus will follow the Massachusetts Democratic Party's defined agenda.
