The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is working to improve political dialogue in Marshfield
event by one of your neighbors. Last year, the committee started this voter outreach program with a food drive for the Marshfield Food Pantry, where the committee collected over 12 carts of non-perishable food. The committee followed it up with a winter coat drive for veterans in December, which collected over 500 coats. The committee will continue these two events plus four more.
with a voter outreach program whose theme is "Do Good Often!" The committee is doing this by hosting six civic engagement events, which are mini-volunteer opportunities. These volunteer opportunities are easy-to-do activities that take less than an hour to complete. They include donation drives, clean-up efforts, and community outreach. The new calendar adds four more events to the two successful events hosted by the committee at the end of last year.
You may have seen "Do good often!" lawn signs around town or been invited to participate in a civic engagement
The committee is kicking off the civic engagement calendar with a blood drive and trail cleanup volunteer opportunities in the spring. In the summer, the committee is hosting a beach clean-up, followed by a back-to-school supply donation drive at the end of the summer. The schedule finishes the year by repeating our successful efforts in food drives and veterans coats. You can volunteer to help by filling out a short questionnaire and telling the committee how you would like to help.
